My name is Paul Di Michiel and I am The Career Medic!
As The Career Medic, I work with corporate professionals and managers over 40 who have lost their jobs due to redundancy or who are in jobs they don’t like and want to change. I assist clients with practical and effective job search methodologies including resume preparation, interview skills coaching, LinkedIn profile development and fear-free networking strategies. More importantly, having been through job loss and job search myself, I can empathise completely with my clients because I’ve been there and experienced it first hand…

I have an honours degree in Psychology plus over 25 years of corporate experience in senior Human Resources roles in IT, transport and logistics and manufacturing, for such iconic organisations as Federal Express and Orange Business Services. I regularly contribute to websites, newspapers and radio for articles and commentary on effective job search for mature-age workers (See Media).
Aside from extensive professional experience in the Australian market I also worked in Singapore and the United Kingdom for a number of years in senior regional and global Human Resources roles. In recent years, I have moved into the career transition space with great success for my clients and satisfaction for myself! Nothing gives me more joy than to see a client successfully transition into a new exciting role. I have recently written and published my first book ‘Fired to Hired, The Guide to Effective Job Search for the Over 40s’ and further details can be found here.
